Unlike Vintage Clothing, garments that are made from a Vintage Pattern do allow for ease of fit. For example, if a Vintage size 16 Pattern states it will fit Standard Body Measurements of 34 Bust, 26 Waist and 36 Hips, the actual garment will be several inches larger to allow for proper fit.

I will always list the measutrments from the pattern for each garment. If you would like to have additional measurments of the garment, just e-mail, I'll be happy to provide them.

I have Many Vintage Patterns in my inventory and I enjoy making unique garments. I do use the same patterns for more than one garment, but generally not out of the same fabric. If you see something that you like, keep in mind that when it is sold, you undoubtedly won't see the exact same thing again.

Fabrics and Construction Details

I currently have Hundreds of Yards of fabric just waiting to be turned into Reproduction Garments. I generally don't by my fabric in bulk, so each garment I make is a one-of-a-kind creation. Ocassionaly I have enough yardage to make several garments, but they are made into different styles. I will rarely, unless by Special Order, make two garments that are the exact same thing. The exception to that being Men's and Boy's Aloha Shirts. Some Tropical Prints are extremely popular and I get many requests for a particula print in a certain size.

I use both Vintage Fabrics and New Fabrics in the construction of my Reproduction Clothing. It will be clearly stated in the listing information for each garment what has been used for that specific item. Whenever possible, I use Vintage Notions and Trims to create a garment that is true to the era. For example, I use Vintage Metal Zippers, Vintage Buttons and Belt Buckles so that each garment has a uniquely Vintage Look. I make every effort to use the construction methods that are true to the era that I am recreating. All finish work is meticulously done by hand.

Special Orders

Echo Vintage does accept Special Orders. Pricing will vary depending on the complexity of the style, fabric and the level of trim work and embellishment that you require. I can work from your pattern or one of the many I have available, and I will work closely with you to ensure you are pleased with your final garment.

Availability of Special Orders will depend on how full my schedule is at any given time. If you need a garment by a certain date, please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your order.
